I have been using DW Drums, Pedals and Hardware for over 18 years.. Take a look at the drums they provided for my Lion King setup. I prefer small toms. I have one kit with 10" and 14" toms and a 20" bass drum. I have a second kit with 10", 13" and 15" with a 22" Bass drum that I record with. I have a variety of Snares but I prefer my 14" Caraviotto. It is one of the most versatile snare drums I have played. From a beefy low tuning to a cranked high vibe, it does it all.

Thanks to John Goode and Garrison for all the help a DW over the years.

I use Vic Firth SD9 sticks but I ask for the lightest weight they can find. For Lion King I went through a lot of Rutes and the new 505 Plastic Rute. I also had a special SD9 made with a soft felt ball on the back end. This came in handy during Lion King for quick changes between sticks and mallets. I have a stick bag full of a wide assortment of Vic Firth sticks and brushes for sessions.

I use Levy's soft cases for my cymbal, handsonic and stick bags. I also have djembe, conga and snare bags. My favorite right now is a new soft traps bag with wheels that is very handy for giging around town. Check out the quality products this Co. makes. My equipment has never had it so good. Thanks to Dennis and Danica Levy for their beautiful products. If you need a Gig Bag, this is the place to go.
I use K Zildjian Cymbals mostly. I prefer a dry sound with a quick attack and fairly fast decay. I lean towards smaller Crash Cymbals. My 22" K Coustom Ride is my favorite right now but i have a good assortment of rides to choose from. On Fernando Ortegas gig I use a 15" Azuka and a 14" Oriental China.
I love my Roland HPD-15 Handsonic. I use it all the time on Wednesday Nights for loops and assorted percussion stuff. I also have an SPD 20 and a set of V-Drums . Thanks to Cory Fornier and Steve Fisher at Roland for their support.
I prefer Remo coated ambassadors on the top and clear diplomats on the bottom. A Powerstroke 3 or clear ambassador on the Bass Drum worksbest for me. I also have a Remo 14" Djembe I use often. I used a Remo Djun Djun with the Lion King kit as well.
I always have a Rhythm Tech tambourine as part of my regular kit and my Lion King Kit. I use other Rhythm Tech goodies too. Their gig tray is a vrey functional item.
